Funding details

The grantees will receive scholarship allocations as follows:

1. Tuition fee waiver for each semester

    1.1 Faculty of Agriculture       15,000 baht/semester (fifteen thousand baht)

    1.2 Faculty of Science           13,000 baht/semester (thirteen thousand baht)

    1.3 Business School              40,000 baht/semester (forty thousand baht)

    1.4 Faculty of Liberal Arts     12,000 baht/semester (twelve thousand baht)

With the exception ofthe Bachelor of Education Program 15,000 baht/semester (fifteen thousand baht).

2. International Student fee waivers 7,500 baht/semester (seven thousand and five hundred baht).

3. Grantees will be allocated accommodation without fees. If the grantee stays at a private dormitory, the grantees will not be allocated the accommodation payment.

 

Applicant qualifications

1. Applicants must be selected for study at Ubon Ratchathani University for the 2022 academic year.

2. Applicants must have a cumulative grade point average from high school or its equivalentat of least 3.00. Any evaluation, examination, or interview will be in accordance with conditions, approaches, criteria, and principles specified in the announcement.

“Applicant” refers to a foreigner who graduated from high school or its equivalentfrom the Thai, American, or theBritish educational system, or an educational system of a specified country and who wasselected to study in the university according to programs specified in this announcement.

 

Conditions for granting a scholarship

1. Applicants must be selected for study at Ubon Ratchathani University in accordance with Ubon Ratchathani University Application for Ubon Ratchathani University Students and applicants are granted the scholarship according to specifications ofthis announcement.

2. Applicants are studying for the duration specified in the program and in accordance with the semester specified in the schedule.

3. Applicants who have a cumulative grade point average (GPAX) for each semester of at least 3.00 will be granted the scholarship the following semester.

In the case of a GPAX lower than 3.00, the applicants are still granted the scholarship the following semester, however, if the applicants receive a GPAX lower than 3.00 in the following semester again, the scholarship will be canceled. If the applicants receive a GPAX of at least 3.00 the following semester, the applicants will be considered meetingthe scholarship requirements hence.

4. Grades for each subject in each semester must be completed. If applicants receive an “I”(“incomplete”), the grantees will not be considered eligible the followingsemester except for instances where grantees are considered by the scholarship committee on acase-by-case basis.

5. In each semester, the grantees must be enrolled for at least 70 percent of the study schedule except for instances where grantees are considered by the scholarship committee on a case-by-case basis.

6. In each semester, the grantees must participate in international student activities hosted by the Office of International Relations, Ubon Ratchathani University for at least 80 percent of all hour activities in the semester.
