UBU and the State Audit Office of the Kingdom of Thailand co-organized a workshop on government budget management

On 28-29 January 2020, Ubon Ratchathani University (UBU) and the State Audit Office of the Kingdom of Thailand (SAO)co-organized a workshop on government budget management to strengthen collaboration between government sectors and the general public. The workshop was held at the His Majesty’s 7th Cycle Birthday Anniversary Commemorating Building, UBU.

On behalf of UBU, Assistant Professor Dr. Adun Janyalertadun, Vice President for Administration, Ms. Charuayporn Santhaweesuk, Vice President for Student Development and Alumni Relations, Mr. Noppadon Patanasitubon, Assistant to the President for Finance and Property and Dr. Piyanat Soikham, Assistant to the President for Academic Affairs honorably welcomed SAO’s executives, staff members and keynote speakers. Participants consisted of UBU staff members and students, officers from government and private organizations and the general public. They were divided into two different groups. The first group attended the workshop on 28 January while the second group was trained on 29 January. The topics of the workshop consisted of the roles and responsibilities of the SAO: What is the SAO? How is the SAO important?, how do the government budget and assets play important roles in the development of the country, and guidelines to promote collaboration between the government sectors and the general public related to budget management. There was also discussion on how to effectively manage the government budget and assets so it can result in maximum benefits for the country.UBU strongly believes that the participants can apply the knowledge gained to improve their personal financial management. 

UBU sincerely thanks SAO for their support, not only through the organization of the workshop, but also through the valuable guidance and advice on financial management and regulations. UBU also congratulates all participants on their success with the workshop and thanks them for their attendance and participation. UBU looks forward to organizing more workshops that will help promote life quality for all.
