On Wednesday, 26 August 2026, the Division of International Affairs, Ubon Ratchathani University (UBU), held a Welcome and Orientation Ceremony for Exchange Faculty Members and Students from Japan and the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (Lao PDR) at the U2 Room, U-Place Hotel, Ubon Ratchathani University.
The ceremony was organized as part of UBU’s Student and Staff Exchange Program for Fiscal Year 2026, which runs from August to September 2026. The program aims to promote academic and cultural exchange while strengthening academic ties and cooperation between Ubon Ratchathani University and its international partner institutions.
A total of 38 faculty members and students from three international institutions participated in the exchange program. The participants comprised five faculty members and students from the College of Manual Therapy, Japan, hosted by UBU’s College of Medicine and Public Health; 27 faculty members and students from Tokai University, Japan, hosted by the Faculty of Liberal Arts; and six faculty members and students from Champasack University, Lao PDR, hosted by the Faculty of Political Science.
On this occasion, Assistant Professor Dr. Oranuch Puangsuk, Assistant to the President for International Relations and Education, warmly welcomed the delegations from the three institutions and introduced UBU executives and faculty members. The program featured presentations by representatives of each participating institution, an orientation session on campus life and university facilities, and opportunities for participants to interact and exchange ideas and experiences.
The event marks another important step in Ubon Ratchathani University’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its international academic networks and partnerships while fostering a cross-cultural learning environment for its students and staff.
