UBU Hosts the 19th Japan Education Fair in Collaboration with the Embassy of Japan

On 28 January 2026, the Embassy of Japan in Thailand, in collaboration with Ubon Ratchathani University (UBU), organized the 19th Japan Education Fair at Rooms NTC 410–411, Nutrition Building, College of Medicine and Public Health, Ubon Ratchathani University. The event was held with the objective of providing comprehensive information and academic guidance to students and other interested individuals seeking to pursue higher education at colleges, universities, and higher education institutions in Japan. 

On this occasion, Associate Professor Dr. Chutinun Prasitpuriprecha, President of Ubon Ratchathani University, delivered the welcome address. The opening ceremony was presided over by Mr. TANIMURA Takamasa, First Secretary of the Embassy of Japan in Thailand. In addition, a keynote lecture was delivered by Mr. KIKUCHI Hiroyuki, Third Secretary of the Embassy of Japan in Thailand, who shared insights on educational opportunities and academic cooperation between Japan and Thailand.

The event featured a range of exhibition booths and consultation services provided by Japanese educational institutions and related organizations. These services offered detailed information on academic programs, scholarship opportunities, application procedures, and preparation for studying and living in Japan.  

The fair attracted a significant number of students and participants from various institutions, including Luekhamhan Warin Chamrap School, Narinukun School, Khun Han Witthaya San School, Sisaket Rajabhat University, as well as students and staff of Ubon Ratchathani University. The event represented another important milestone in strengthening educational cooperation between Thailand and Japan and contributed to the expansion of international education opportunities and the development of Thai youth in the global context.
