Ubon Ratchathani University (UBU), represented by Assistant Professor Dr. Piyanat Soikham, Assistant to the President for Marketing and Organizational Communication, participated in the EAS Conclave of Heads of Higher Education Institutions held at Nalanda University, India, from 17–19 September 2025. The event gathered leaders from over 35 universities across 18 ASEAN, Indian, and East Asian countries, under the theme “Enhancing Educational Connectivity.”
The meeting was presided over by Shri Periasamy Kumaran, Secretary (East), Ministry of External Affairs of India. The conclave highlighted best practices in governance, curriculum development, research collaboration, and student and faculty exchanges, with a strong focus on advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Assistant Professor Dr. Piyanat Soikham also delivered a speech on strengthening educational connectivity in East Asia, reinforcing UBU’s commitment to international collaboration and sustainable academic partnerships.
This engagement reflects UBU’s mission to expand global cooperation, foster cultural exchange, and contribute to building a sustainable academic ecosystem in alignment with SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
