On August 5, 2025, Ubon Ratchathani University (UBU), led by Associate Professor Dr. Chutinun Prasitpuriprecha, President of UBU, together with Assistant Professor Dr. Oranuch Puangsuk, Assistant to the President for International Relations and Education, and Associate Professor Dr. Pornthip Waiwut, lecturer at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, warmly welcomed Professor Yoshihiro Hayakawa and Mr. Kanata Yamaguchi, a doctoral student from the Institute of Natural Medicine, University of Toyama, Japan.
Their visit was part of the Visiting Professor Exchange Program and the Student Exchange Support Program of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences for the fiscal year 2025, supported by the Office of International Relations and Education.
Professor Yoshihiro Hayakawa participated in the program from August 4–8, 2025, and delivered a special lecture titled: “Understanding the Regulatory Mechanisms of Anti-Tumor Immune Responses for Successful Immunotherapy” on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., at the Bhaisajchapipat Conference Room (B404), Health Science Learning Innovation Building, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, UBU.
Meanwhile, Mr. Kanata Yamaguchi joined a short-term program from July 11 to August 8, 2025, to promote academic knowledge exchange, enhance research experience, and foster cross-cultural understanding.
This exchange activity forms part of the long-standing academic and research collaboration between the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, UBU, and the Institute of Natural Medicine, University of Toyama, Japan, which has been nurtured and maintained over many years.
