Ubon Ratchathani University (UBU) proudly congratulates Miss Kanokwan Saisavat, a fourth-year student from the Faculty of Engineering, on her selection as one of 38 national representatives for the Experiential Learning Program Season 3 (ELP). Miss Saisavat was selected from a highly competitive pool of 920 applicants across 16 universities nationwide.
The ELP aims to develop students and researchers into globally competent entrepreneurs and innovators. As part of the program, Miss Saisavat presented a marketing plan for her innovative product, "CleansyMousse Pet Dry Shampoo"—a waterless bathing product for pets. This research was supervised by Associate Professor Dr. Sureewan Duangjit, from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, while Assistant Professor Dr. Kamonporn Nakornchaiyakun and Mr. Kanatkit Thongpool served as her business plan advisors.
The national pitching round was held on July 27, 2025, at the Science and Technology Park, Chiang Mai University.
The Experiential Learning Program Season 3 is an initiative supported by the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), in collaboration with a network of 16 higher education institutions across Thailand. The program aims to nurture students and researchers into high-potential startup entrepreneurs by integrating business concepts with real-world problems and global markets. National representatives are selected and trained in market analysis, teamwork, and business idea presentation, ultimately leading to the development of concrete business plans and international market validation opportunities.
Associate Professor Dr. Chawalit Tinwongpitak, Director of UBU Science Park, explained that the university conducted internal selections to identify a representative for the regional and national levels. Miss Kanokwan Saisavat successfully advanced through these stages to become one of the 38 national delegates, representing Thailand in the international exchange component of the program.
Her innovation, CleansyMousse Pet Dry Shampoo, utilizes Electrochemically Reduced Water (ERW)—an anionic nano-particle water—rather than conventional water. The product effectively eliminates unpleasant odors, reduces bacterial buildup, and is gentle on pet skin. Key features include no-rinse application, quick drying, ease of use, and the absence of alcohol, parabens, and synthetic fragrances.
Miss Saisavat is scheduled to participate in the international exchange program in November 2025, with preferred destinations including France, the United Kingdom, Japan, Taiwan, and the Republic of Korea.
This achievement represents a significant source of pride for UBU, reflecting the dedication and drive of its students in pursuing knowledge and global experiences. The initiative aligns with the mission of MHESI to cultivate a new generation of entrepreneurs equipped with diverse competencies, supporting Thailand’s transition toward an innovation-based economy and sustainable participation on the global stage.
