On July 31, 2025, Ubon Ratchathani University (UBU), by the Office of International Relations and Education, organized the Cultural Workshop “World to Discover” to promote cross-cultural learning and exchange between Thai students and international exchange students from seven countries: China, India, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, Taiwan, and the United States of America. The workshop was held at the Grand Ballroom A-B, U-Place Hotel, Ubon Ratchathani University.
On this occasion, Associate Professor Dr. Chutinun Prasitpuriprecha, President of UBU, presided over the opening ceremony, expressed appreciation to students and faculty members from partner universities, and presented certificates of participation.
The program provided a platform for both Thai and international participants to connect, build relationships, and exchange perspectives on language, culture, and ways of life through interactive activities, including a meeting of academic cooperation between Ubon Ratchathani University and Brigham Young University.
Furthermore, the Cultural Workshop serves as a key initiative supporting UBU’s Two-Year Strategic Plan (2025–2026), as endorsed by the University Council, which emphasizes internationalization as a pathway to enhancing learning quality, fostering an open and inclusive educational environment, and strengthening the university’s competitiveness at the global level.
This activity not only facilitated borderless learning experiences but also reflected the University’s strong commitment to promoting cultural diversity, mutual understanding, and global engagement among its academic community and international partners.
