On July 18, 2025, Ubon Ratchathani University (UBU) had the distinct honor of welcoming Professor Dhruv Raina (Adjunct Professor) at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune, India. His visit is part of the 2025 Visiting Professor Exchange Program, taking place from July 16 to 31, 2025, at the Faculty of Education, UBU, under the support of the Office of International Relations and Education.
The University was privileged to have Associate Professor Dr. Chutinun Prasitpuriprecha, President of UBU, extend a warm welcome to Professor Raina, joined by Assistant Professor Dr. Oranuch Puangsuk, Assistant to the President for International Relations and Education, and Dr. Siwakorn Kritsanasuwan, faculty member of the Faculty of Education and the program’s lead coordinator.
During his stay, Professor Raina will participate in a range of academic activities focusing on education, with a particular emphasis on the history of science and the internationalization of science education within the Indian context. A highlight of the visit will be a special lecture delivered by Professor Raina on July 24, 2025, at the Indian Studies Center, Ubon Ratchathani University, titled: "Dimensions of Internationalization and Globalization: Science Education and Research in Twentieth Century India."
This lecture offers a valuable opportunity for the exchange of perspectives on the history of science, intercultural education, and the advancement of academic collaboration between Thailand and India.
UBU is deeply honored to host such a distinguished international scholar and remains committed to strengthening global academic engagement and promoting international scholarly dialogue.
