Ubon Ratchathani University (UBU) visited the People’s Republic of China from 9-15 June 2025 to participate in the signing ceremony of the second Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Chengdu University, which was held in Chengdu City. The delegation also participated in the Chengdu University International Week.
This visit aimed to strengthen and expand international academic collaborations in alignment with UBU’s Five-Year Strategic Plan (2023–2027), with an emphasis on building interdisciplinary networks. During the visit, the delegation also engaged in discussions with Chengdu University—UBU’s key partner in the Asian region—on further opportunities for academic cooperation.
The UBU delegation consisted of:
1. Associate Professor Dr. Chutinun Prasitpuriprecha, President of Ubon Ratchathani University
2. Assistant Professor Dr. Oranuch Puangsuk, Assistant to the President for International Relations and Education
3. Dr. Saksit Sripa, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences
4. Assistant Professor Dr. Utsana Puapermpoonsiri, Vice Dean for Administration, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences
5. Dr. Siwakorn Kritsanasuwan, Lecturer, Faculty of Education
The event featured exhibitions of international arts and Thai-Chinese cultural exchange activities as part of the International Week. UBU’s participation in this initiative demonstrates the university’s strong commitment to advancing internationalization and fostering intercultural understanding through sustainable academic engagement.
