From May 11–17, 2025, the Faculty of Law, Ubon Ratchathani University (UBU), led by Dr. Nitilak Kaewchandee, Dean of the Faculty of Law, together with Assistant Professor Rakkit Rattajompot, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, faculty members, and six exchange students, participated in an academic and cultural exchange program at the Faculty of Law and Political Science, Champasack University, Lao People’s Democratic Republic (Lao PDR).
The UBU delegation received a warm welcome from Ms. Phatsany Phouvanh, Dean of the Faculty of Law and Political Science, along with the university’s executive board and faculty members. The week-long program featured a series of academic and cultural activities, including participation in law courses, a study visit to the Champasak People’s Court, community legal education (CLE) activities, friendly sports competitions, community service projects, and excursions to local historical and natural attractions. These activities were conducted in collaboration with local students to encourage cross-cultural learning.
The exchange program was designed to strengthen students’ academic and professional competencies, foster intercultural understanding, and promote collaborative learning in the field of law. This initiative also reinforces the long-standing academic partnership between the two institutions and supports broader efforts to cultivate mutual understanding and sustainable cooperation in the ASEAN region through legal education, academic service, and international youth engagement.
