Ubon Ratchathani University (UBU) congratulates Miss Arunothai Detmongkul, a third-year student in the Music Education program, Faculty of Education, on winning first place in the Northeastern Folk Song Singing Competition, and Mr. Nantapob Yuenying, a second-year student in the Music Education program, Faculty of Education, on securing the fifth-place consolation prize in the Mon Gong Solo Competition (Higher Education Level) at the BRICC Festival 2025. The event, hosted by Buriram Rajabhat University from February 14–16, 2025, was held under the theme "Educational Management Directions for Communities and Localities in a Changing Global Context."
The festival was officially inaugurated by Ms. Supamas Isarabhakdi, Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation. It featured a diverse array of activities, including national and international research conferences, keynote lectures, and academic skill competitions at the higher education level.
In recognition of her outstanding achievement, Miss Arunothai Detmongkul was honored with a royal trophy bestowed by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. This remarkable accomplishment underscores the exceptional musical talent of UBU students, particularly in Thai folk and traditional music, and further strengthens the university’s national reputation for excellence in arts and culture.
