On February 18-19, 2025, Assistant Professor Dr. Oranuch Puangsuk, Assistant to the President for International Relations and Education represented Ubon Ratchathani University (UBU) at the 4th Thai-Yunnan Education Cooperation Forum, held under the theme "The Way Forward: Shaping the Future of Thai-Yunnan Education." The forum took place at Mae Fah Luang University, Chiang Rai, bringing together over 150 participants, including administrators and lecturers from leading universities in Thailand and Yunnan Province, representatives from Thailand’s Ministry of Higher Education Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), the Yunnan Provincial Department of Education and media organizations.
The discussions were divided into 5 key areas: policy and cooperation direction, green development, medicine and public health, science and technology, and language and culture. Additionally, the forum featured keynote addresses delivered by Adjunct Professor Dr. Vanchai Sirichana, the Chairman of University Council at Mae Fah Luang University, and Mr. Chen Fei, Vice President of Yunnan Normal University.
The event also included panel discussions covering a wide range of thought-provoking topics. Experts from various sectors, including university administrators, business leaders, and representatives from the Chinese Students Association and Scholars in Thailand, exchanged insights on human resource development and collective growth.
UBU's participation in this forum is a significant step toward strengthening academic collaboration with Yunnan Normal University, other Thai universities, and various national and international organizations. This engagement underscores UBU’s commitment to fostering regional and global partnerships to advance education and research.
