On January 21, 2025, representatives from the Office of International Relations, Ubon Ratchathani University (UBU), participated in the 2025 Chinese New Year Celebration at Hua Khiew Wittayalai School, Khon Kaen Province. The event was organized to express gratitude to partner institutions and to promote Thai-Chinese cultural exchange.
The celebration brought together more than 30 affiliated institutions of the Confucius Institute at Khon Kaen University, along with key figures from the public and educational sectors. The Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Khon Kaen presided over the opening ceremony, while the Governor of Khon Kaen Province extended his best wishes for the festive occasion.
UBU places great emphasis on fostering academic and cultural relations between Thailand and China. Participation in this event provided a significant opportunity to further strengthen collaborations with educational institutions across the region.
The Chinese New Year celebration was held on a grand scale, set in an atmosphere of friendship and cultural appreciation. The event featured traditional Chinese and Thai cultural performances, including lion dances, musical performances, and other artistic displays that highlighted the strong and enduring relationship between the two nations.
UBU remains committed to enhancing academic and cultural partnerships with both domestic and international institutions, thereby expanding educational and cultural opportunities for its students and staff in the future.
