On December 18, 2024, students from the Music Education Program, Faculty of Education, Ubon Ratchathani University (UBU), were honored to meet Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn at the Golden Jubilee Convention Hall, Khon Kaen University. The students received royal trophies for their outstanding achievements in the Northeastern Thai Music Competition, held by the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Khon Kaen University. The competition results are as follows:
1. Mr. Jetnipat Pimprajit– Winner of two royal trophies:
First Prize, Ranad Ek (Thai Xylophone) Solo Category
First Prize, Kong Wong Lek (Small Gong Circle) Solo Category
2. Mr. Nantapob Yuenying– Winner of two royal trophies:
First Prize, Ranat Tum (Bass Thai Xylophone) Solo Category
First Prize, Kong Wong Yai (Large Gong Circle) Solo Category
3. Mr. Anon Seanglum– Winner of one royal trophy:
First Prize, Khlui Piang Aw (Vertical Flute) Solo Category
The competition was held consecutively in 2023 and 2024, during which three students participated. At that time, Mr. Pimprajit and Mr. Yuenying were studying at Luekhamhan Warin Chamrap School, while Mr. Seanglum was a student at T.O.A. Wittaya School.
Mr. Mit Sapphud, a lecturer from the Faculty of Education at Ubon Ratchathani University (UBU), congratulated the students. He expressed immense pride in their success and highlighted the faculty's dedication to consistently imparting knowledge and techniques in Thai musical performance, significantly contributing to this remarkable achievement.
This accomplishment enhances UBU’s reputation and serves as a testament to its unwavering commitment to nurturing students’ potential and ensuring they are equipped to excel in their future endeavors.
