On December 18, 2024, Associate Professor Dr. Chutinun Prasitpuriprecha, the President of Ubon Ratchathani University (UBU), along with members of the UBU executive board and staff, extended a warm welcome to Professor Kangju Li, the President of Shenyang Institute of Technology (SIT), China, and his delegation at the Office of the President, UBU.
The visit began with a morning session where the delegation was welcomed by Dr. Parkpoom Subnugarn, Acting Director of the Office of Academic Resources. The guests were given a guided tour of key facilities, including the Edutainment Zone, India Studies Zone, Green Zone, Co-Working Space, Esan Zone, Maker Space, and various counter services at the Office of Academic Resources.
In the afternoon session, representatives from SIT and UBU convened at the Office of the President to discuss opportunities for academic collaboration. This was followed by a visit to the Faculty of Engineering, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Mongkol Pusayatanont, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering. The delegation observed teaching and learning activities and engaged in discussions on potential international academic partnerships.
This visit marked a significant step toward strengthening academic collaboration between China and Thailand, with a focus on advancing academic and research knowledge while fostering student and staff exchange programs in the future. The partnership aligned with UBU's mission of sustainable educational development and its vision to be a leading university in ASEAN, enhancing the quality of life for society.
