On December 13, 2024, the Faculty of Political Science at Ubon Ratchathani University (UBU) hosted a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony with UNICEF Thailand at Meeting Room 301, Faculty of Political Science.

The event was presided over by Dr. Thitidaj Luetrakul, Vice President for Planning and Organizational Quality Development, accompanied by Assistant Professor Dr. Oranuch Puangsuk, Assistant to the President for International Relations and Education; Dr. Siriporn Jantanasakulwong, Dean of the Faculty of Political Science; and members of UBU’s executive board. The UBU representatives warmly welcomed Ms. Kyungsun Kim, representative of UNICEF Thailand, and her team.

The MOU aimed to foster collaboration in knowledge exchange, study visits, resource support for academic activities, student internships, and research initiatives involving UBU students and staff. Additionally, this agreement sought to empower UBU students as active participants in addressing community challenges, including environmental management, climate issues, and disaster preparedness.

This partnership also aspired to establish a collaborative network that could serve as a model learning space for promoting youth engagement and developing policies or plans on environmental, climate, and disaster management. Furthermore, it sought to strengthen cooperation with government agencies and extend benefits to universities across the northeastern region of Thailand in the future.
