On November 21-22, 2024, Associate Professor Dr. Chutinun Prasitpuriprecha, the President of Ubon Ratchathani University (UBU), accompanied by Assistant Professor Dr. Oranuch Puangsuk, Assistant to the President for International Relations and Education, represented UBU at the 19th GMSARN International Conference 2024. The conference, themed “Towards Sustainability in GMS: Empowering Energy, Environment, and Development,” was a collaborative initiative by the Greater Mekong Subregion Academic and Research Network (GMSARN), the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), the Institute of Technology of Cambodia (ITC), and the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP). The event took place in Sihanoukville City, Cambodia.
As part of their visit, the UBU representatives also attended the 28th Joint Meeting of the GMSARN Board Members and Council of Advisors. The meeting focused on developing collaborative strategies for academic, research, and sustainable development initiatives within the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS).
This participation underscores UBU's commitment to fostering international partnerships in education and research. It highlights the university's proactive role in creating global academic networks and contributing to sustainable energy, environmental stewardship, and economic growth within the GMS.
