On October 30, 2024, Associate Professor Dr. Chutinun Prasitpuriprecha, the President of Ubon Ratchathani University (UBU), together with the university’s executive board, warmly welcomed Dr. Angela Macdonald PSM, Australian Ambassador to Thailand, and her team at the Office of the President, UBU. This meeting aimed to foster goodwill and explore avenues for strengthening academic cooperation, with an emphasis on expanding educational and research opportunities and facilitating future exchanges of students and academic personnel.
Dr. Angela Macdonald PSM, also participated in a wreath-laying ceremony to honor the compassionate efforts of the Ubon Ratchathani community towards Allied prisoners of war during World War II. The Ubon Ratchathani Provincial Office organized the ceremony at the Monument of Good Deeds, Thung Si Mueang, Ubon Ratchathani Province. The Deputy Governor of Ubon Ratchathani Province, Mr. Sornmongkol Mongklasiri, also attended to extend a warm welcome to the ambassador and her team.
