On August 22, 2024, the Office of International Relations at Ubon Ratchathani University (UBU) hosted the "Beyond Borders: Cultural Bridging Workshop" with exchange students from the University of Foreign Languages and International Studies at Hue University, Vietnam. Held at the Office of the President 1, the event aimed to provide Thai students and staff with an immersive experience of Thai and Vietnamese cultures, shared directly by the visiting Vietnamese students.
Participants explored the similarities and differences between Thai and Vietnamese lifestyles through a variety of engaging activities, including role-plays, musical performances, and formal presentations. These interactive sessions offered a fun and educational opportunity for attendees to learn about and appreciate the rich cultural heritage of both nations.
UBU remains committed to organizing diverse activities encouraging students and staff to learn new languages and embrace cross-cultural experiences. This workshop helped strengthen the bonds between Thai and Vietnamese participants, setting the stage for future collaborations with international institutions.
