The 72nd Birthday of the King Celebrated with Exercise

          The King's 72nd birthday was celebrated with walking, running, and cycling activities organized by Ubon Ratchathani University (UBU) on August 4, 2024. The event was held at UBU Central Sport, and was presided over by Associate Professor Dr. Chutinun Prasitpuriprecha, the President of UBU and Assistant Professor Dr. Griengsak Kaewkulchai, Vice President for Administration gave a report. The objectives of the event were to demonstrate loyalty and honor to the King on his 72nd birthday and to promote exercise among civil servants, personnel, students, and citizens of all ages and genders, using educational institutions and government facilities for the benefit of the community.

          Associate Professor Dr. Chutinun Prasitpuriprecha emphasized the significance of the year 2024 as an auspicious year for all Thai people to unite in showing their loyalty and gratitude for the King's grace, which serves as a guideline for the entire Thai nation. His Majesty is revered as the King of Sports and serves as a role model for the Thai people in maintaining health and exercise.

          The event brought together the collective efforts of agencies under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, higher education institutions nationwide, and citizens interested in exercising.

          Everyone was invited to join in exercising to promote health and to offer it as a royal merit, continuing the royal wishes of His Majesty the King.
