The Swimming Sports Promotion Club of Ubon Ratchathani Province, in collaboration with the Thailand Swimming Association (TSA) of Northeastern Region, Thailand Swimming Association (TSA), and Ubon Ratchathani University (UBU), organized the PTT Thailand Swimming Championships 2024 - Region 3. Assistant Professor Dr. Griengsak Kaewkulchai, Vice President for Administration, and Mr. Panupong Pairam, President of the Ubon Ratchathani Province Swimming Sports Promotion Club presided over the opening ceremony and delivered the opening remarks. Assistant Professor Dr. Preecha Boonchoong, Vice President for Student Development and Alumni Relations, attended the event and presented awards to the athletes. Over 300 athletes representing 29 clubs from the Northeastern Region participated in the event, which took place at the Somchit Yodseranee Swimming Pool at Ubon Ratchathani University from July 20-22, 2024.
This national-level competition allowed youth to demonstrate their swimming athletic abilities, learning to lose, win, and forgive. Athletes had the chance to test their training throughout the year and could bring statistics from the competition to compete at the national and international levels in the future. This competition included junior and senior students in the Bachelor of Education in Physical Education program from the Faculty of Liberal Arts, serving as assistant judges and facilitating convenience throughout the event.
