The Office of International Relations at Ubon Ratchathani University organized UBU Cultural Excursion 2024 on July 20-21, 2024. The event had 80 participants, including UBU exchange and full-time students from Bhutan, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Vietnam, and the USA, as well as Thai UBU students.
The participants observed the Candle Festival 2024 at Thung Sri Mueang in Mueang District, Ubon Ratchathani Province during the excursion. They also visited the Chedi of Phra Photiyan Thera at Wat Nong Pa Phong in Warin Chamrap District, Ubon Ratchathani Province. Additionally, they took part in traditional Thai games organized by the Office of International Relations.
The main objectives of these activities were to share and exchange cultural traditions during significant Buddhist days, introduce Thai culture to international students, and provide Thai students with the opportunity to practice their foreign language skills with native speakers. These initiatives align with the university's mission to promote and support the development of extracurricular language skills for its graduates and to strengthen academic cooperation networks with international agencies.
