From June 21-22, 2024, the Office of International Relations at Ubon Ratchathani University (UBU) organized a training session for 47 support staff at Kaeng Phisamai Riverside, Khong Chiam District, Ubon Ratchathani Province. The event was led by Assistant Professor Dr. Oranuch Puangsuk, Assistant to the President for International Relations and Education. A team from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, USA, led by Associate Professor Dr. Betsy Gilliland, conducted the training.
The purpose of this training was to enhance the English communication skills of UBU staff from various departments, to improve their ability to serve foreign students and personnel. The atmosphere was filled with smiles and laughter as participants learned techniques for interacting with foreigners in various situations. They actively practiced listening, speaking, reading, and writing in English to understand and address immediate challenges.
