The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Ubon Ratchathani University was recognized by the Rational Use of Medicine Sub-committee for its outstanding efforts in educating students about the rational use of medicine in 2022. Dr. Saksit Sripa, the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Assistant Professor Prasittichai Poonphol, a lecturer at the same faculty, received a plaque from Mr. Somsak Thepsuthin, Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand and Chairman of the National Drug System Development Committee, in a ceremony held at the Office of the Permanent Secretary on March 4, 2024.
Dr. Saksit Sripa explained that the award criteria were applied to health science programs across all universities, including Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary, Pharmacy, Nursing, Medical Technology, Public Health, Physical Therapy, and Thai Traditional and other alternative medicine programs. The pharmaceutical sciences program at Ubon Ratchathani University met all of the necessary policy and teaching management criteria, leading the way to this recognition.
This award is a testament to Ubon Ratchathani University's dedication to providing standardized and multidisciplinary teaching and learning practices while promoting excellence in the field of pharmaceutical sciences. It serves as another source of pride for the university.
