On February 19, 2024, Ubon Ratchathani University's President, Assistant Professor Dr. Chutinun Prasitpuriprecha, together with Assistant Professor Dr. Oranuch Puangsuk, Assistant to the President for International Relations and Education, and other executive members warmly welcomed H.E. Sok Khorn, the President of National University of Battambang, Cambodia and Dr. Srean Pao, the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Food Technology, along with his colleague, at the Office of the President, Ubon Ratchathani University.
During the meeting, both institutions discussed academic cooperation in developing a joint curriculum in horticulture and other activities such as personnel and student exchanges. The Faculty of Agriculture at UBU has an existing academic cooperation with the National University of Battambang, which is funded by the World Bank. From 2019 to 2024, lecturers and staff from the National University of Battambang are receiving scholarships to continue their studies at the Faculty of Agriculture, UBU. These scholarships include 3 doctoral scholarships, 6 master scholarships, and 10 short-term training courses.
Ubon Ratchathani University is committed to expanding its academic network and organizing exchange programs for students and staff members with international institutions to promote learning and enhance academic cooperation.
