On February 16, 2024, Dr. Thitidaj Luetrakul, Vice President for Planning and Organizational Quality Development along with Assistant Professor Dr. Oranuch Puangsuk, Assistant to the President for International Relations and Education, and Associate Professor Dr. Surasak Khamkhong, Dean of the Faculty of Liberal Arts extended a warm welcome to Mr. UCHIDA Takeshi, the Secretary of the Embassy of Japan in Thailand, and representatives from esteemed Japanese institutions. The reception took place at the Faculty of Liberal Arts, Ubon Ratchathani University.
During this visit, the delegation participated in the 18th J-UBU Nihonsai organized by the Japanese and Communication program. Furthermore, the representatives from Japanese institutions organized the 17th Japan Education Fair as part of this event.
Associate Professor Dr. Surasak Khamkhong emphasized that the primary objective of this event was to encourage students to explore Japanese culture through various activities, providing them with opportunities to both showcase and enhance their Japanese language skills. The Japanese and Communication program is dedicated to producing graduates with proficient Japanese language skills in line with international standards.
