On December 25, 2023, the Office of International Relations at Ubon Ratchathani University (UBU) organized the Christmas 2023 event at Gate 1, with Acting UBU President, Assistant Professor Dr. Chutinun Prasitpuriprecha presiding over the opening ceremony. Over 300 people attended activities that included creating Christmas cards, games, a concert, a cover dance show, and a gift raffle. UBU executives, Thai and international students, and staff participated. UBU student clubs and stores, such as the Green Club, Hong Kue Ma, and various others, also set up booths. The event sought to provide Thai and international students and staff an opportunity to engage in cultural exchange and enhance their cultural awareness.
