On November 16-17, 2023, Assistant Professor Dr. Chutinun Prasitpuriprecha, the Acting President of Ubon Ratchathani University, along with Assistant Professor Dr. Oranuch Puangsuk, the Assistant to the President for International Relations and Education, actively participated in the 27th Joint Meeting of the GMSARN Board and Council of Advisors. This significant event was held at Hanoi University of Technology in Hanoi, Vietnam.
The UBU team recently attended the 18th GMSARN International Conference, which was held at the Hanoi Tokyo Hotel in Vietnam. The conference's theme was "Smart Energy, Environment, and Sustainable Development in GMS," and it provided an excellent platform for international discussions. Participants had the opportunity to share and discuss new ideas and innovations while highlighting the importance of interdisciplinary research and enhanced cooperation.
The conference served as an international forum and addressed regional and cross-border perspectives, with a particular emphasis on sustainable development in areas such as energy, environment, and climate change. The discussions that took place during the conference are expected to make a significant contribution to promoting sustainable development in these crucial domains.
UBU has been participating in the Greater Mekong Subregion Academic and Research Network (GMSARN) since 2010. This conference provides a vital platform for the exchange and dissemination of research and development outcomes related to innovation and sustainable development in the Mekong region. The conference is expected to be highly advantageous and yield positive outcomes for education and research initiatives in the Mekong region, especially in areas such as energy, environment, and sustainable development.
