The Faculty of Agriculture organized a project named "Mue Riaw Ro Kiew Ruang 2023" ("harvesting rice by hand") on November 18, 2023. The project took place at an agricultural plot covering an area of 10 rais, and more than 300 students and staff participated in the activity. Dr. Narintorn Boonbrahm, the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, presided over the opening ceremony. The harvested rice will be kept for the graduates' homecoming, the graduation ceremony in 2022, and to support student activities.
This annual activity has been a tradition passed down from generation to generation and is divided into two phases: plot preparation and planning, followed by the rice harvest. This project aims to help students comprehend the entire rice-planting process. It is another initiative that raises students' awareness and aligns with the university's vision of becoming a “Leading University in ASEAN Improving the Quality of Life for Society”.
