Mr. Kritsada Rattanangkul, a lecturer from the Faculty of Applied Arts and Architecture, led 30 students from the Innovative Arts Design program to attend “Siam Paragon Bangkok International Week 2022 (BIFW2022)” at Park Paragon, Siam Paragon, Bangkok, from October 5-8, 2023.
UBU students presented the “Modern Esan Collection” as part of the “The Future of Fashion” theme. White and black tones characterized these daily-wear clothes made from local woven fabric.
The Faculty of Applied Arts and Architecture promotes student skills in local woven fabrics and their distribution through knowledge exchange with expert producers in the community. This model widens student perspectives about other cultures in the community and enhances sustainable income for the fabric producers.
This event marked another milestone for their work, as this local product became more widely known nationally and internationally.
