On July 7, 2023, Assistant Professor Dr. Chutinun Prasitpuriprecha, President of Ubon Ratchathani University, led the executive board and staff to welcome Mr. Masayuki Kuriyama, Director of the Japan Foundation Bangkok (JFBKK) and its staff at the Office of the President. Representatives discussed the possibility of a future Japanese Language Proficiency Test and provided feedback and suggestions. Ubon Ratchathani University was approved as a center for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test in 2022. The Office of International Relations provides testing services and has offered the test twice.
