The agricultural student club organized a creative welcoming activity for agricultural entering students through a project named Mue Riaw Ro Kiew Ruang 2023 (Phase 1: Planting) on July 8, 2023. It took place at an agricultural plot covering an area of 10 rai, with more than 300 students and staff participating. On this occasion, Dr. Chawalit Siriboon, Assistant to the Dean for Student Development and Alumni Relations, presided over the opening ceremony, and third-year agronomy student Ms. Atitayapon Chalee offered a report.

The head of the project, Third-year agronomy student Mr. Sila Kaewmuang, noted that this annual activity is a tradition performed from generation to generation, divided into 2 phases: planting and harvesting. This activity encourages students to learn farming procedures: preparing the soil, preparing seedlings, planting rice, and cultivating the plants until the harvest. It also strengthened harmonious relationships between seniors and juniors and encouraged collaboration with the faculty. The harvested rice would be kept for graduate homecoming, supporting first-year agricultural student activities during the coming year.

This activity is part of a series of projects encouraging the new generation to enter the agricultural profession. This activity will promote the production of competent graduates to develop society and the nation in the future, in line with the university's mission to serve as “a leading university in ASEAN centered on improving the quality of life for society.”
