UBU congratulates Assistant Professor Dr. Piyanat Soikham, Assistant to the President for Organizational Communication and Social Engagement, for “Short-Listed Alumni - Study UK Alumni Awards 2023” in the Social Action Award category from H.E. Mr. Mark Gooding, the British Ambassador to Thailand. 

 

The ceremony was held on February 7, 2023, at the British Club, Bangkok. On this occasion, Professor Dr. Sirirurg Songsivilai, M.D., Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, also joined this ceremony. 

 

Assistant Professor Dr. Piyanat Soikham is a grantee of the Humanities and Social Sciences Scholarship in Thailand for students who have received good grades. He graduated with a doctoral degree in International Relations from the University of St Andrews, Scotland in 2018.

 

His outstanding awards are as follows:

“Honorable Researcher Award 2022” from Ubon Ratchathani University 

“ASEAN-India Youth Award 2019” from the Pacific Forum

“Young Leader 2019” from the Pacific Forum

“Best Research Presentation Award in Humanities and Social Sciences” (the winner) at the European Student Conference 2018

“The Anglo-Thai Society’s Annual Award for Academic Excellence 2017”
