On January 28, 2023, the UBU India Studies Group, supported by the Embassy of India in Thailand, organized an activity entitled “Indianisation in Isan: The Trail of Indic Ideology through Ancient Southeast Asia” at Phanom Rung Historical Park and Prasat Mueang Tam, Buriram province.

The activities and the lecture were presided over by Mr. Kotchaphop Kornphetcharat, Project Chairperson. More than 40 participants joined the activities that involved lectures and field trips to study the interconnections of civilizations and beliefs between India and Southeast Asia through art and relics.

Dr. Sirinbhattra Sathabhornwong, Project Vice Chairperson, noted that students also experience connections between Indian civilization and the Northeast region outside the classroom through these activities.

These activities promote Thai-India relations, supported by the Embassy of India in Thailand.
