On August 18, 2022, the Faculty of Science organized “National Science Day 2022” at the Faculty of Science Research Building. Assistant Professor Dr. Chutinun Prasitpuriprecha, Ubon Ratchathani University President, presided over the opening ceremony, and the Faculty of Science Dean Professor Dr. Siriporn Jungsuttiwong, commented on the activities. This was an exhibition to honor those who have enhanced the university’s reputation through their demonstrated success in science competitions.  

 

August 18^th is National Science Day in Thailand, commemorating King Mongkut's (King Rama IV) prediction and observation of a total solar eclipse in 1868. For this and more, he has been proclaimed the “Father of Science in Thailand”.
