The Office of International Relations organized a training workshop for CEFR test writers under a project titled, “Developing and Administrating Language Assessment: a Training Workshop for CEFR Test Writers.” The purposes of this training were 1) to enable academic staff, teachers, and lecturers to write or create a standard test as specified by formal testing principles that can evaluate the test taker proficiency levels, and 2) to learn how to write international language tests according to CEFR standards.
The training was held on June 25-26, 2022 at the U-Place Hotel, Ubon Ratchathani University, and presentations by Associate Professor Dr. Betsy Gilliland from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, USA, and Assistant Professor Dr. Kornwipa Poonpon from Khon Kaen University, were the central highlights of this training, and many participants from inside and outside UBU participated.
