On March 19, 2022, the Embassy of India in Thailand, in cooperation with the Indian Studies Group at the Faculty of Political Science, Ubon Ratchathani University, and the Khemmarat district organized, “Indian Cultural Night at Khemmarat, Ubon Ratchathani” at the Khemmarat walking street, Khemmarat, Ubon Ratchathani. This event celebrated the 75^th anniversary of the India-Thai diplomatic relationship. Mr. Ashwin M. Kotnis, the ambassador’s counselor at the Embassy of India in Thailand, was honored to join the event. Moreover, other honorable guests involved were Assistant Professor Dr. Chutinun Prasitpuriprecha, Ubon Ratchathani University President, Mr. Sa-art Wongrak, Khemmarat Sheriff, Ms. Ladda Jetsadapanit, Chairperson of the Cultural and Tourism Center at Khemmarat, Dr. Titipol Phakdeewanich, the Dean of the Faculty of Political Science, among others. 

 

 

The activities consisted of a Thai-Indian cultural show hosted by students and the Cultural Center of Khemmarat and an Indian fashion show hosted by the UBU Indian Studies Group at the Faculty of Political Science. Associate Professor Dr. Chawalit Thinvongpituk, Vice President for Research, Innovations, and Academic Services, and Assistant Professor Dr. Oranuch Puangsuk, Assistant to the President for International Relations and Education, were honored to participate in the fashion show performance.
