On February 20, 2022, Dr. Wiparat Dee-Ong, Director of the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), and delegations from the Northeast Regional Research Network, Khon Kaen University, visited the Organic Farming Community Research Center in Muang Srikai. On this occasion, Associate Professor Dr. Chawalit Thinvongpituk, Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Academic Services, welcomed the guests and gave them a tour of the farm. 

 

Associate Professor Dr. Chawalit Thinvongpituk noted that this project was supported by NRCT and UBU which promote the production of premium organic tomatoes. Currently, organic tomatoes are a new economic product with inventory insufficient to meet market demand. Dr. Wiparat Dee-Ong praised these new products and the research teams that designed them and suggested that UBU should increase production to meet the market demand and support farmers in the wider region.
