On February 4, 2022, UBU organized a Field Day activity at the UBU farm with Mr. Somphet Soysaku, Ubon Ratchathani Deputy Governor, presiding over the opening ceremony. Assistant Professor Dr. Chutinun Prasitpuriprecha, UBU President, gave a welcoming speech, and Associate Professor Dr. Chawalit Thinvongpituk, Vice President for Research, Innovations, and Academic Services, presented the principal report which sought to edify Ubon Ratchathani cherry tomato-producing farmers. Activities consisted of a cherry tomato product contest, research, and product exhibitions, a tomato greenhouse visit, and a discussion entitled, “Business Models for Premium Cherry Tomatoes at Ubon Ratchathani”. This was directed by Dr. Thaweesak Wiyachai, an Agricultural Research Officer from the Faculty of Agriculture, Associate Professor Dr. Boonsong Akpong, a lecturer from the Faculty of Agriculture, and Mr. Samakki Nikomrak, a local entrepreneur.
