The Faculty of Science revealed a new innovation called, “Magnesium Test Kit for Rubber Latex”. This tool can be employed in the field and farmers can check the rubber latex immediately without needing to take it to a laboratory. This new method is convenient and fast and has been authorized for use in order to expand the country’s rubber industry potential. 

 

Associate Professor Dr. Purim Jarujamrus, Vice Dean for Research and International Relations at the Faculty of Science, noted that this modern tool was created and developed to meet the requirements of both the market and the community. It is used for magnesium quantity analysis in rubber latex, reporting results within one minute with just a small sample with accurate quasi-quantitative results. This innovation is suitable for entrepreneurs who transform fresh latex into concentrated latex. The test kit has been registered since 2018 and the research was published in the international academic journal of Scopus and Web of Science database. This innovation has been presented and demonstrated in numerous exhibitions and seminars.
