UBU congratulates students from the Polymer Technology Program at the Faculty of Science for their prizes in the Rubber Innovation Competition. Among the awards was a product called, “Memory Foam Beads from Natural Rubber Latex” which received second place at the university level and research was conducted by Miss Bussayarat Sansri, Miss Parida Pakpin, Miss Wannapa Kaewnin, and Miss Siripon Kaenjan. Receiving third place was a product named “Rubber Sheet” conducted by Miss Dararatsamee Boonliang, Miss Suchada Janpoung, Miss Kanjana Seangon, Miss Benjapon Toongsup, and Miss Pattarida Aoompanan. A product named “New Gen Elascord Chair Minimal Style” received an honorable mention and was conducted by Miss Kanokwan Kongnin, Miss Kamonwan Kongnin, Miss Darin Jamparat, Miss Wipapon Sathong, and Miss Sukanya Kammak. For honorable mention at the lecturer and researcher level was a product named “Smart Artificial Breast Mold from Natural Rubber Foam for Medical Teaching Aids”, and was conducted by Miss Pranee Nuinu, Mr. Anupong Rattirom, Mr. Korawit Kaewdee, Miss Walaipon Daengboonrueng, Miss Chonticha Namniwong. The competition was held online by the Rubber Authority of Thailand on 31 August 2021. This award enhances the reputation of the university and the Faculty of Science on the occasion of the 31st anniversary of Ubon Ratchathani’s founding.
