On 26-27 June 2021, the UBU Volunteer Club held the 8th annual volunteer project named San Fun Pun Yim (“Create Your Future and Smile”) for the academic year 2021 at the Child Development Center in Warinchamrap, Ubon Ratchathani. The club renovated the playground, painted and cleaned the building, donating notebooks, pens, pencils for the students. Assistant professor Dr. Suppachai Wannalertsakul, advisor of the Volunteer Club, presided over the activity.  

 

Mr. Patipan Yeangkai, the head of the volunteer club, noted that this activity was an annual occurrence targeting impoverished schools located far from the city and the Child Development Center was the target this year. This year the plan was altered due to the recent outbreak of COVID-19. The activity also provided for the students to learn volunteering, sharing, cooperation, and problem-solving according to UBU philosophy “Ubon Ratchathani University creates consciousness and wisdom for society on the basis of sufficiency”.
