On 21 May 2021, Dr. Chaiwut Grudpan and Dr. Jarungjit Grudpan, lecturers from the Department of Fisheries, Faculty of Agriculture, met Assistant Professor Dr. Chutinun Prasitpuriprecha, UBU President, and presented a book entitled Fishes of Indochinese Mekong. This research was conducted with the cooperation of four countries in the Lower Mekong River:  Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam, from 2006 to the present. This research was supported by the Nagao Natural Environmental Foundation, Tokyo, Japan. The book is impressively endowed with illustrations of 568 species of these freshwater fish. It will prove highly useful for further fisheries program research and the Ubon Ratchathani University Natural History Museum of Fisheries (UNMF) serves as a major reference point.
