Rub-Bit team from UBU that consisted of 2 Rubber and Polymer Technology students and 2 Information Technology students from the Faculty of Science won the first runner-up prize for their project called the Formic Acid Automatic Mixer. The mixer was developed as a prototype mixer that can help farmers in the rubber industry create Formic Acid by themselves. The mixer aimed to reduce production costs.

Their project wastitled Seed Plants Using Unnamed Ariel Vehicle (UAV)/Drone which was developed to promote smart farmer ideals that would lead towards the Thailand 4.0 model. Not only can the UAV plant seeds, it can also help in spraying fertilizers. Therefore, it can reduce the risk of pesticide exposure among farmers that will lead to long-term health benefits. Moreover, the machine can reduce manpower requirements and costs.

Ultimately, the two projects created by UBU students were designed to help farmers and their communities by the use of technology in terms of cost, time reduction and promotion of health.
