As it is closely approaching the end date of the current UBU President, Assoc Professor Dr. Nongnit Teerawatanasuk, on 26 April 2019, UBU has been working diligently to find a new candidate in her place from December 2018 to January 2019. During the selection process, UBU staff were given the opportunity to nominate their desired candidates and present their opinions and suggestions for improvements to be considered by the new president who will serve for the next 4 years. Moreover, the selection committee consisted of 7 professionals. They did their best during the selection process to determine and present a list of qualified candidates to the UBU council for the final approved selection. On 26 January 2019, the UBU council board had a meeting and finalized their decision. They have agreed to choose Asst Prof Dr Chutinun Prasitpuripreecha to be the 5th president of UBU, who will serve until 2023.
Dr. Prasitpuripreecha is the ex-Dean of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences who served for two consecutive terms, 2010 until January 2019. With all of her dedicated time and experience at UBU at both the faculty and university level, she is indeed capable of leading UBU towards further improvements and advancements for the UBU community and beyond. All in all, UBU has much to gain from Dr.Prasitpuripreecha as the new UBU President and we warmly welcome her to this new position!
