From 26-27 January 2019, UBU Nursing students organized a community servicecamp at Bannontoom School, Natan District, Ubon Ratchathani Province. The aims of the camp were to provide health services to people in the community, to share helpful knowledge on how to take care of one’s health, and to engage in other service activities such as re-painting the school and temple, fixing a school’s waste incinerator, cleaning, and organizing entertainment for the evening.
The event involved 250 participants and was co-organized by students from 8 faculties such as Faculty of Nursing, Engineering, Political Sciences, Law, Liberal Arts, Management Science and College of Medicine and Public Health.
The community service activities not only improved our students’ team work and professionalism, but it also helped develop their service-minded attitude. Therefore, UBU will always continue to support students’ community service activities that will benefit both our university students and the people in nearby communities.
