UBU Lecturer Won the Bernd Rode Award 2019 Granted by ASEA-UNINET

Assist Prof Dr. Anchalee Samphao, lecturer at the Faculty of Science, UBU has been selected to receive the Bernd Rode Award 2019 by ASEA-UNINET. Her awarded research is titled “Development of a disposable electrochemical biosensor based on gold nanoparticles and MnO2 decorated on graphene nanocomposites modified on paper based-screen printed carbon electrode for detection of cancer biomarker.”

The Bernd Rode Award is granted to outstanding scientific and higher education collaborations between European and South-East-Asian universities and is given every 18 months in three different categories; juniorResearchers, seniorResearchers and Project-based collaborative research.

For this year, Assist Prof Dr. Anchalee Samphao received the award in the Project Excellent category with the collaborative researcher Prof. Dr. Kurt Kalcher, professor at Institute for Analytical Chemistry, University of Graz (Austria).

Besides the Bernd Rode Award 2019, Assist Prof Dr. Anchalee Samphao has also received several international awards such as Best oral presentation at 13th Young Investigator’s Seminar on Analytical Chemistry held at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology, Croatia, July 5th – 8th, 2006, SEA-UNINET Research Grant for postdoc study, University of Graz in 2011-2013. Moreover, many of her research papers were published in international publications.

Assist Prof Dr. Anchalee Samphao is one of UBU’s outstanding lecturer and researcher. UBU is so proud of her success.
