Capping and Candle Lighting Ceremony 2018

On 9 March 2019, the Faculty of Nursing organized the annual traditional ceremony called Capping and Candle Lighting Ceremony at the Faculty of Nursing. It was to celebrate 80 sophomore students belonging to Batch 2018 that passed all basic requirements for nursing courses. The ceremony was carried out by Assistant Professor Dr. Sanguan Thanee, the Dean of Nursing. Ms. Sudarat Prasan, Vice Dean for Student Development reported that the objectives of this event were to raise students’ awareness and recognition of their careers, to cultivate morality, ethics, discipline to nursing students, to promote unity among nursing students from every batch and to preserve and continue the traditional ceremony. The ceremony started with an honorable speech by Assistant Professor Dr. Sanguan Thanee. Then, the female students were awarded nursing caps while the males received medals. The history of Ms. Florence Nightingale was read. Thereafter, all sophomore students lit their candles. Then, the choir sang a song. Extraordinarily, students’ parents were allowed to join in during the event. Therefore, the ceremony was filled with much happiness, love, and pride.
