College of Medicine and Public Health organized a workshop on the Prevention, Control and Monitoring of the Prevalence of Dengue Fever in Ubon Ratchathani University.

According to the Ubon Ratchathani Provincial Health Care Office’s Dengue fever situation record from 1 January – 29 May 2019, there were 1,579 infected patients and 8 deaths cause by the fever. Moreover, the infection of Dengue in Ubon Ratchathani Province is claimed to be highest in the country and tends to be even higher for this raining season. The prevalence of Dengue is mostly found in densely populated areas such as educational institutions, prisons, and slums. Therefore, Ubon Ratchathani University Hospital organized the workshop to provide knowledge on the dangers of Dengue fever and on how to stop the spread of mosquitoes.
